PROJECT BACKGROUND

The project will construct Class I bike path, ADA-compliant sidewalks and ramps, drought-tolerant landscaping and irrigation, energy-conserving lighting, storm drain facilities, and street improvements at the Woodlake Botanical Garden and along East Naranjo Blvd (SR-216). There will also be the removal of two parking lots, the installation of park features, ADA-complaint sidewalks and ramps, and drought-tolerant landscaping and irrigation at the Woodlake City Park. A midblock crosswalk and a “HAWK” Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon System to be installed to connect Woodlake City Park with the Botanical Gardens on East Naranjo Blvd (SR-216).

The proposed project will increase pedestrian safety and connectivity between the City Park and downtown area to the Botanical Garden and Bravo Lake for recreation opportunities.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE (NON-MANDATORY)

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 08, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at City Hall, 350 N. Valencia Blvd, Woodlake CA. This meeting is to inform bidders of project requirements and subcontractors of subcontracting and material supply opportunities.

BID OPENING

Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall; 350 N. Valencia Blvd, Woodlake CA until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2024, and promptly thereafter all proposals that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE RANGE

$5,200,000 to $5,700,000

FUNDING SOURCE

This Project is being funded by Clean California Grant Program and Local Funds and will be subject to all applicable State Wage Determinations and Labor Compliance Requirements.

BASIS OF AWARD

The project, if awarded, will be based upon all the work contemplated in the Total Bid.
